We had a very very wonderful 3rd dinner to bring the 2013 Summer dinner series to an elegant end! Eva’s menu was perfectly executed and a real crowd pleaser:
- Passed canapes were candied bacon and pimento cheese on toast, perfected paired with Pull Brewing’s farm house ale and coconut wheat brew, followed by:
- Heirloom tomato gazpacho
- Ray’s house cured prosciutto with spiced canteloupe and arugula ( OMG!)
- Fried goat cheese on an heirloom tomato salad with fresh herbs (OMGx2)
- Grilled breast of duck on smoked duck leg hash with cracklin, blackberry sauce
- Pan seared striped bass on beet puree with crispy kale
- Roasted stone fruit on bourbon pecan cake with black pepper ice cream
WOW and then wines perfected paired by Kevin Zraly:
- Hugel Gewurztraminer
- Moreau Chablis
- Chateau La Verriere 2010
- Chateau La Bure des Moines 2010

Justin Farmer, (first father of Porkchop the farm cat), and Executive Chef at the great gastropub Hill and Dale took the day off to come and lend an amazing hand to Ray and Eva in the kitchen, so a special shout out to you!
To our crew of volunteers, there is no way to adequately thank you for your loving sweat equity, both in front and back of house – Risa and John, Kendra, the flower girls, Zoe and Franny ( yes, their real names!), Andrea – you made this happen.
To Ray’s neighbors and customers, to friends and family who buck traffic and the elements to come and enjoy a meal at the farm, thank you for your ongoing support and love so that Ray can continue to do what matters most to him – that is, to make people happy through his farm and culinary craft. And kuddos to Etienne, your photos capture it all, so everyone can always feel like they have been part of a dinner whether they have been there or not! (more photos to come)
Ray’s Dry T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

Prize: The winner will receive a t-shirt, a free ticket to this year’s farm party, a big hug from Ray (who will be wearing your t-shirt with pride) and some great publicity. All submissions will be included in a gallery on the website.
